Welcome to Kindergarten

Welcome to St. Luke School’s kindergarten program.  Kindergarten is a very exciting year for both a child and their parents.  We will be doing a lot of fun and creative activities throughout the year that include seasonal theme based activities during each month along with our regular curriculum in reading and math.   These themes include:

September: Welcome to school, apples, counting/sorting, God made us wonderful
October:  Halloween, bats, owls, pumpkins, patterns, fire safety, God made people to love
November: Thanksgiving, Native Americans, Fall harvest, God gave us many gifts
December: Celebrate the birth of Jesus, Advent, Christmas, Families
January:  Martin Luther King, snowmen, penguins, bears, The Holy Family, hibernation
February: Valentines Day, Friendship, Presidents Day, Groundhogs Day, Dental Health,
March: St. Patricks Day, Easter, Lent, Stations of the Cross, rainbows, time/money
April: Spring rain, seeds, plants, butterflies, pond life, God’s gift of life
May: Flowers, zoo animals, Mother’s Day,
